You have the rest of your life to live and deserve to live life to its fullest.  For all patients who have completed active treatment, the physicians at CBC recommend professional guidance to help patients adjust to life after chemotherapy.  We are committed to providing our patients with quality, comprehensive care that treats the whole patient - not just the disease.

Cancer Survivorship 

Who is a Cancer Survivor?

"Cancer Survivor" commonly describes an individual from the time of cancer diagnosis through the remaining years of life.  This program addresses a patient's experience of living with cancer, living through cancer, and living beyond cancer.

What is Post-Treatment Counseling?

  • Shaping a Wellness Care Plan that's right for you
  • Discussing Fatigue, Nutrition, Sexuality, Coping Skills, etc.
  • Addressing your concerns about recurrence and recommended surveillance
  • Wrapping up this part of your life and looking towards the future
  • Learning about Survivorship Resources available to cancer survivors
  • Provide your treatment summary

How can I get started?

Call (502) 897-1166 or stop by the appointment desk to schedule an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner.  One or multiple appointments may be necessary to address your concerns.

Survivorship programs like CBC's are supported by organizations such as the National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship, the American Cancer Society, and the National Cancer Institute.
